In 2001 we purchased two acres of land located on the northwest edge of Walla Walla. Because of the greatness of our God we were able to pay cash for the property. On June 4th, 2006 we had a joyful dedication service in which a large number of our friends and members rejoiced in being able to occupy the lovely property which God had graciously supplied.

Today we stand ready in anticipation of what God will do next. Blue Mountain Baptist Church strives:

  1. To do nothing that violates the principles of God’s Word.
  2. To be a church whose purpose is to be Christlike in our daily living by emphasizing total commitment of life, personality, and possessions to the lordship of Christ.
  3. To continually evaluate all activities and ministries in light of our objectives.
    1. To emphasize a MINISTRY TO PEOPLE rather than PERFORMANCE of certain tasks.
    2. To be a church which ministers unselfishly in Jesus’ name to the community and the world from a scriptural concept of “SERVANTHOOD”.
  4. To be a dynamic spiritual organism, empowered by the Holy Spirit to share Christ with all people in our church, community, and throughout the world.
  5. To be a worshipping fellowship experiencing an awareness of God, recognizing His person, and responding in obedience to His leadership.
  6. To help people experience a growing knowledge of God, a growing relationship to God, and a meaningful fellowship with other Christians.
  7. To concentrate on the discipleship and training of individual believers by mature believers, rather than the use of general programs, methods, and materials that seem to substitute for personal relationships with the Lord and adequate training.
  8. To encourage confirmation of a person’s motivations, maturity, gifts, and abilities, before placing them or leaving them in a position of leadership.
  9. To show our confidence in the sovereignty of God as to His will and desires in all that we do, being patient in prayer, in the study of the Word of God, and to seek the counsel of mature believers. When you come to visit with us next Sunday you can be assured of being welcomed in a Southern Baptist Church that loves God and one another.
